For two and a half millennia, the ring lay in wait before it was pulled from the bottom of a murky river and claimed by a Stoor hobbit named Sméagol.
Enchanted and changed, Sméagol lost himself to the ring and the darkness of the labyrinthine caves in the Misty Mountains. His only thoughts and cares were for “his precious.” Reach for the gold and your pipe, and hold tight to the things you love, as if a great magic draws you together.
