Union Chill Cannabis Company opened its doors as one of the first wave of CAURD-licensed adult-use dispensaries in the Southern Tier. Our team is from Corning, our suppliers are New York licensed cultivators, and our shop sits three minutes on foot from Centerway Square in the historic Gaffer District.

We’ve watched the Gaffer District change shape over the last twenty years — from glass-trade economy to museum-anchored tourism to the start of small-business renaissance. Cannabis retail is the next chapter, and we wanted to be part of writing it the right way.

Cannabis retail in New York is new — the 2021 MRTA opened the adult-use market and CAURD licenses started arriving in 2023. We’ve been students of the regulatory framework from the start. The OCM regs (9 NYCRR Part 119) shape every operational decision we make, from age verification to packaging to advertising compliance. Our job is to apply them faithfully and serve the Corning community honestly inside that framework.

Three things we focus on:

• Lab transparency. Every product comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) on request. Potency, terpenes, contaminants, lot, harvest date.
• Education. A budtender will spend twenty minutes explaining the difference between an indica-dominant and a sativa-dominant hybrid if you want them to.
• A calm shopping environment. Most visits take ten to fifteen minutes; the budtender’s job is to help you leave with what you came for, not to upsell.

Union Chill operates under New York OCM-CAURD-25-000269 — a Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary license issued by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management under the 2021 Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA).
