Hardware then oil

Cart, AIO, or pod? Distillate or live resin?

Two decisions: hardware format (510 cart, all-in-one disposable, pod system) and oil quality (distillate, live resin, live rosin). Below is the working framework.

Onset
1–3 minfastest after dabbing
Per-pull dose
~2–4 mg THCone slow 3-sec pull · 0.5g cart
Battery range

Hardware decision

Three form factors.

FormatCost-per-mgBest for
510-thread cartLowLong-term users; voltage control; oil choice freedom
All-in-one disposableHighSimplicity; trying a brand; travel
Pod systemMidBrand-locked QC; tighter draw
510-thread cart + refillable battery is lowest cost-per-mg over time. All-in-one disposable is lowest friction but highest cost-per-mg. Heavy users save with 510 (refill the battery, swap carts). Occasional users prefer AIO (no setup, no maintenance).
Oil ladder

Distillate to live rosin.

One-pull dose discipline

One slow three-second pull from a half-gram cart delivers roughly 2-4 mg of THC. Wait 5 minutes after the first pull. Re-evaluate. That's vape dose discipline. Chain-pulling burns oil + escalates dose past the desired effect.

Battery temperature science

Cart battery voltage matters: too high and the oil burns (bitter taste, lost terpenes). Too low and the oil doesn’t fully vaporize (weak hits).

Distillate voltage
2.4–3.0V
Live rosin voltage
3.0–3.6V
Per-pull dose (0.5g cart)

Vapes FAQ

Hardware + oil questions.

What is the difference between a distillate vape and a live resin vape?
Distillate vapes contain highly purified THC with terpenes stripped (and sometimes added back), producing a cleaner-tasting but more generic high. Live resin vapes preserve the original terpene profile of the source flower, producing a strain-specific experience that most shoppers prefer even at lower THC percentages.
Should I buy a 510 cart or an all-in-one?
A 510-thread cart paired with a refillable battery is the lowest cost-per-mg path to vaping cannabis. An all-in-one disposable is the lowest friction but the highest cost-per-mg over time. Long-term users save money with 510 carts; occasional users prefer AIO for simplicity.
What voltage should I use?
Distillate runs cooler — 2.4-3.0V. Live rosin and live resin perform best at 3.0-3.6V. Variable-voltage batteries with a 3-5 setting toggle (or screen-equipped advanced model) give you flexibility across cart types.
